Requirements for Graduation
“There is a five year-period in which a degree plan will be valid, Students who who do not complete their program of study within five years might have problems with coursework being obsolete and may have to retake courses in order to graduate. There will be no “grandfathering” of this rule and it is in effect for all students -new and returning.” (VP Hobbs, 2006, p. 4)
Grades in Major Courses
All courses in student’s major course work must be a “C” or higher. Academic courses that have been awarded a “D” is considered as passing however a student must still consider that the grade of a “D” will affect their semester and cumulative GPA. (VP Hobbs, 2006)
Grades for all College Level Courses
Grades for all college level courses taken at TSTC will be used in computing the student’s grade point average (GPA) for graduation. “This means that any grade of a “D” or “F” that a student earns in a college level course will be calculated into his/her graduation GPA. Students will be held accountable for ALL courses taken regardless of any degree plan changes ALL GRADES SHOW UP ON THE TRANSCRIPT” (VP Hobbs, 2006, p. 4).
